Pollster Andres Guilarte on Voz News: 'It could be cataclysmic for Trump if the war drags on and oil gets even more expensive'
Guilarte spoke about recent polls showing a worrisome plunge in President Donald Trump's popularity

Andrés Guilarte on Voz News.
On Voz News, anchor and executive director Karina Yapor interviewed pollster and political analyst Andrés Guilarte, with whom she discussed recent polls showing a worrisome plunge in the popularity of President Donald Trump and how both the war in Iran and the economy itself will play a determining role for the midterms.
"The president's current approval ratings are terrible; even a Fox News poll has him at 41%, so Trump doesn't have a lot of polls to refer to to say he has good numbers. [...] If his approval rating stays at these numbers, there would be no point to the strategy of getting more involved in the midterm elections, especially on the issue of independents, which is where the problem really is. [...] If the war in Iran drags on and oil prices continue to rise, this could prove to be cataclysmic for Trump," said Guilarte.
