After months of speculation, Kari Lake announced her on October 11. In a very favorable map for the GOP in terms of the Senate, the Republican hopes to flip the seat currently held by Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), who has not yet revealed whether or not she will seek a second term.

Lake, who was a candidate for governor in 2022, was quickly endorsed by Donald Trump, who assured that his protégé was "a fighter" with a "big heart" and, at the same time, the ideal person to help him pass his agenda through the Senate.

"I'm in this for us Arizonans, and when you elect me to the United States Senate, you are electing a mama bear on a mission to protect not just my kiddos, not just my babies. I want to protect Arizona, and I want to protect the United States of America. I promise I will make you proud," Lake said during her campaign launch.

In addition, the Republican has already won important endorsements among her potential colleagues and is very close to achieving the endorsement of Steve Daines (R-MT), a crucial position as he is the president of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).

Indeed, as reported by POLITICO, Daines is in frequent contact with Lake, which could lead to an endorsement sooner rather than later. The Montana senator is supporting Republicans in key states who can win a general election.

2 million in three months for Kari Lake

As revealed by the campaign, Lake has raised $2.1 million in the first quarter as a candidate.

"Kari Lake is outworking everyone, posting a very strong fundraising haul for her first quarter in the race. Arizona is the best pick up opportunity for Senate Republicans," said Garrett Ventry, senior advisor to the former television host.

The money leaves her in an excellent position to reaffirm her leadership in the Republican primaries, which so far pits her against Mark Lamb (Pinal County Sheriff), George Nicholson (businessman) and Brian Wright (political consultant).

According to the latest Noble Predictive Insights poll, Lake could win by more than 25 percentage points. However, the poll also included Blake Masters, who declined his candidacy to seek a seat in the House of Representatives.

Again, with the financing of 2 million in the first quarter, Daines himself celebrated in a community. "Kari Lake has strong grassroots support that is clearly translating to fundraising success," said the senator.
