A recent poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research finds that more than 40% of Democrats disapprove of the way President Joe Biden is handling the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Although a large percentage of Democratic respondents (50%) expressed their approval of how the president has been managing the conflict, the survey shows a deep split in the Democratic Party party regarding views on the support the United States has given Israel.

According to the data, 46% of respondents disapprove of Biden's handling of the war. Most of them (65%) believe that the president has given too much support to Israel.

The survey also reveals divergences regarding who they consider responsible for the war. Of the Democrats who support the way Biden is handling the war, around 76% point to Hamas as primarily responsible for the conflict, while 32% attribute that responsibility to the Israeli government.

On the other hand, Democrats who disapprove of Biden's handling of the war have an equitable perception of responsibility since 56% consider Israel primarily responsible, and 55% attribute the blame to Hamas.

Biden's support for Israel

Joe Biden has been heavily criticized throughout his administration for how he has handled foreign policy. Bad decisions and inconsistencies have been reflected throughout his presidential period.

However, on this occasion, the president has surprised the public with his strong support for the Israeli government. Although it would seem logical to condemn the Palestinian terrorist group that launched a surprise attack that killed more than a thousand Israelis, there is a group that seems to prefer to side with the aggressors.

Anti-Israels accuse Biden of supporting "genocide"

Several Democratic politicians have openly criticized Israel for defending itself against terrorists who kidnapped around 240 people.

Michigan Democratic representative Rashida Tlaib has possibly caused the most controversy after accusing Biden of supporting a "genocide" in Gaza and issuing a series of hateful comments against Israel.

Although her statements have already led her to face censure resolutions, some American citizens seem to agree with her. In fact, this Thursday, hundreds of anti-Israels demonstrated in the lobby of the New York Times building, repeating Tlaib's accusations about Biden's alleged support for a "genocide."

"Biden, Biden, you can't hide, you're supporting genocide," the protesters shouted.
