Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State and former Democratic candidate in the 2016 presidential election, in which she was defeated by Donald Trump, reiterated her stance that Russia interfered then and is prepared to do so again in 2024. In addition, Clinton took the opportunity to charge once again against her opponent from nine years ago, and to support the Biden-Harris ticket for next year's elections.

Clinton denounces Putin's particular fixation against her

During an interview with former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Clinton insisted that Putin's interference in the election in 2016 and on other occasions, as well as in other states, is real. The former candidate expressed her certainty that the Russian president will do it again because "he hates democracy."

I don’t think, despite all of the deniers, there is any doubt that he interfered in our election, or that he has interfered in many ways in the internal affairs of other countries, funding political parties, funding political candidates and buying off government officials in different places. He hates democracy. He particularly hates the West and he especially hates us. And he has determined that he can do two things simultaneously. He can try to continue to damage and divide us internally, and he's quite good at it

According to Clinton, Putin has a special fixation on her, and that is why he did everything possible to prevent her arrival at the White House in 2016. The former Secretary of State stressed the need to prevent him from doing so again and insisted on the need to unmask him in order to "reject the authoritarianism" that the Kremlin represents and prevent it from supporting candidates willing to become dictators themselves.

Part of the reason he worked so hard against me is because he didn’t think that he wanted me in the White House. So we are where we are, in part of the challenge is to continue to explain to the American public that, you know, the kind of leader Putin is, this authoritarian dictator who literally kills his opposition, kills journalists, poisons people who disagree with him, invades other countries, interferes with our election, that is part of the alternative we have to reject this in this election, we have to reject authoritarianism, we have to reject a kind of creeping fascism almost, of people who are really ready to turn over their thinking, their votes to want to be dictators. We can’t allow that to proceed.

Trump "practices what psychologists call projection"

The next allusion to Trump was direct : the former Democratic candidate diagnosed the former president psychologically to determine that the magnate "practices what psychologists call projection."

So whenever he accuses somebody of doing something, it’s almost guaranteed he’s doing it himself or he’s already done it. Or whenever he denies thinking about doing something – or doing it – it’s almost guaranteed he is thinking about it, or has already done it."

Clinton supports the Biden-Harris ticket and praises the vice president

In addition, he requested a vote of confidence for the Biden-Harris ticket for the 2024 presidential elections, highlighting the figure of the vice president, in the face of criticism and her low popularity.
