The Justice Department announced Monday that Dr. Gal Luft, a key figure in the investigation into the Biden family's international influence peddling, is being charged with eight federal crimes.

The statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York reported that the man with dual citizenship (U.S. and Israeli) faces charges of acting as an unregistered foreign agent, arms trafficking, violating U.S. sanctions against Iran, and making false statements to federal agents.

According to FBI Acting Assistant Director in Charge Christie M. Curtis, "the defendant engaged in multiple schemes to evade sanctions and laws intended to protect our national security. The FBI is determined to defend our nation by enforcing laws designed to promote transparency of foreign influence within the United States."

The indictment came shortly after a video surfaced of Luft saying that he fled after being arrested in Cyprus last February in an attempt to stop him from testifying against the Biden family before the House Oversight Committee.

In the footage, Luft claims that in 2019 he gave information to both the FBI and the Department of Justice about a possible security breach and compromising information on a man vying to be the nation's next president.

"I am now being hunted by the very same people who I informed — and may have to live on the run for the rest of my life," he said in the video.

Gal Luft is considered a potential key witness on Biden family corruption because he could testify about payments Hunter and his uncle Jim Biden allegedly received in exchange for promoting China's interests worldwide.
