The media TMZ reported Monday that actor Alec Baldwin and his brother Stephen Baldwin were involved in a car accident in the Hamptons, in the eastern sector of Long Island. According to what was published by the media, the brothers suffered the accident after they crashed their Range Rover vehicle into a tree.

The media outlet noted that while it is suspected that a garbage truck may have played a role in the accident, the owner of said vehicle assured that its driver was not at fault. However, the authorities' version of the incident is still unknown.

Likewise, TMZ explained that, although the entire front of the Range Rover in which the brothers were riding Baldwinwas severely damaged, it is not yet known who owned the vehicle or who was driving it when the accident occurred. The media outlet added that lrepresentatives for the brothers have not yet commented on what happened.

Difficult years for the actor

Although Baldwin is one of the most famous actors in Hollywood, with an extensive career and Oscar nominations, the truth is that his recent years have been extremely complicated as a result of the tragic accident on the set of the film Rust, in which the actor was holding a prop gun that accidentally fired at cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, causing her death.

Following this event, the actor faced involuntary manslaughter charges that were filed in January 2024 due to negligent use of a firearm without due care or caution. However, months later, Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer dismissed all the charges after determining that prosecutors had withheld key evidence from the defense.
