Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas' kids are at the center of their divorce proceedings. The co-star of Game of Thrones is suing the star of the Jonas Brothers before the British courts. According to the actress ' court documents, she wants their two children to return to the United Kingdom, where they both agreed to raise them.

In the lawsuit, which was filed just days after filing for divorce, Turner claims that Jonas is unfairly keeping her children in New York, according to the Daily Mail. The truth is that both agreed that the children would stay in New York with their father while Turner finished filming a series in London and then they would return to the United Kingdom. That was their plan before filing for divorce.

Their two children - born in 2020 and 2022 - have dual nationality because Turner is British and Jonas is American. Turner believes that their children would have no problem living and growing up in the United Kingdom.

Jonas and Turner were married for four years. Previously, they dated for three years. On May 1, 2019, they married in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas (Nevada). The couple posted on Instagram, "After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."

On September 6, Jonas filed for divorce in Miami.
