In the wake of Wednesday's bizarre incident with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Twitter owner Elon Musk spoke publicly about the compelling need to create a constitutional amendment.
The South African tycoon opined Thursday via Twitter about the moment the Republican senator froze for several seconds in front of a microphone while giving a press conference.
"We need a constitutional amendment. This is insane," expressed the investor and owner of several companies. Although he did not elaborate on what the amendment would say or do, several users responded to the comment by suggesting that there should be age limits for congressional staffers.

The incident
The bizarre moment occurred on Wednesday as McConnell spoke to the media about the National Defense Authorization Act he is working on. A few seconds into his speech, the Republican leader paused for over 20 seconds.
The strange moment puzzled his colleagues, who asked him if he was all right and then escorted him away from the podium so that another of his colleagues could continue with the press conference.
Claimed he is "fine"
Shortly after the incident, the senator returned to answer questions, and not surprisingly, one of the questions from the journalists present was about what happened. McConnell assured that he was fine without giving further details.
Republicans are concerned
Despite McConnell's statements, several Republicans acknowledge that what happened with the Senate leader was not business as usual and that they hope everything is under control.
"That obviously was troubling. I hope it was just a momentary problem and he's doing better," Sen. Ted Cruz opined.
