The headquarters of the Republican National Committee (RNC) in Washington, D.C., had to be locked down after a package with vials of blood without a return address was sent. Hours later, it was reopened.
As reported by The New York Post, security personnel at the headquarters opened the package and found the vials of blood inside. Authorities went to the scene to inspect the contents and begin the investigation.
This morning, we responded to the 300 block of First Street, SE, for the report of a suspicious package. The package was cleared by our Hazardous Incident Response Division.
