China prepares to shoot down unidentified object in its airspace

The announcement comes at the height of tension over the spy balloon crisis in the United States.

Authorities in China's eastern Shandong province announced Sunday the discovery of an "unidentified flying object" near the coast, which they are preparing to shoot down.

The Chinese regime's Global Times reported that maritime authorities spotted this unidentified object near the coastal city of Rizhao. They asked the fishermen in the area to take protective measures against its foreseeable demolition.

This announcement by the Chinese authorities comes in the midst of a crisis with the United States, which began after a Chinese spy balloon was discovered floating over the U.S. It was shot down after the Biden administration finally took action after several days of waiting. Since then, there have been more sightings. Another object was found flying over Canada and was shot down late last night.

China claimed that the first balloon was an atmospheric research tool that veered off course and accused the United States of overreacting. The House of Representatives unanimously voted to condemn the Chinese regime for the spy balloon interference.

Spy balloons and unidentified flying objects are not the only things to make the news over the last few days.
