The Department of Labor (USDOL) reported that, in March, 178,000 jobs were created, after losing virtually the same number in the previous month.

In addition, the agency reported that the unemployment rate fell to 4.3%, achieving a 0.1% decline from February's data.

Much of the recovery was driven by jobs in the healthcare sector, AFP reported, which managed to create 76,000 jobs.

Growth was also boosted by job creation in the construction sector in March (26,000).
