Biden insinuates Hispanic workers don't have "high school diplomas," White House corrects error in official transcript

This is not the first time he has corrected the mistakes of the president, who is currently facing strong criticism even from Democrats for his advanced age and his frequent failures in front of the cameras.

President Joe Biden has been harshly criticized for suggesting that Hispanic workers, African Americans and veterans do not have "high school diplomas." However, the White House appears to have attempted to erase the president's careless words from the official transcript. The action seems meaningless, considering that the video with the president's humiliating statements is all over social media.

The unfortunate claim occurred Thursday afternoon when the Democrat was in Maryland giving a speech to promote his economic policies, which are wildly unpopular. In fact, 59% of Americans disapprove of the job Biden is doing with the economy. In addition, the speech took place just hours after it became known that his son, Hunter Biden, was indicted for lying on an official form when buying a gun, lying to a gun dealer and illegal possession of weapons.

“We’ve seen record lows in unemployment particularly — and I’ve focused on this my whole career — particularly for African Americans and Hispanic workers and veterans, you know, the workers without high school diplomas,” he said in his speech, which was broadcast by several media outlets.

Minutes later, in the official White House transcript, the stenographer added an "and" to the statements, apparently trying to correct the president's insinuation that Hispanic and black citizens and veterans are uneducated. Here's what the official transcript reads:

"We’ve seen record lows in unemployment, particularly — and I’ve focused on this my whole career — particularly for African Americans and Hispanic workers and veterans, you know, and the workers without high-school diplomas."

This is not the first time that the White House has tried to correct President Biden's mistakes. He is currently facing strong criticism, even from within the Democratic Party, for his advanced age and frequent blunders. As recently as July, the president said in a speech that "more than 100" Americans have died from COVID-19. His comments were corrected to read "more than 1 million" in the official White House transcript .
