A new installment of the Twitter Archives revealed that a former CIA counterterrorism officer who signed the open letter that dismissed the story about Hunter Biden’s laptop also worked on enforcing Twitter’s policies and went out of her way to hide her role within the social network.
According to a thread of posts by freelance journalist Texas Lindsay, when the New York Post showed the faces of the “Spies who lie” in March 2022, Nada Bakos, a CIA counterterrorism agent, decided to hide her LinkedIn profile to prevent the country from learning that she worked at Twitter.
“She emailed her fellow Intel colleagues at Twitter that morning to alert them that her picture was featured on the Cover of the NY Post,” Lindsay said.

In the email, the former agent stated that she had no intention of making any statement about the piece that placed her as one of the “Spies who lie.” She has maintained this stance and has not even responded to congressional requests that require explanations about why Bakos signed the letter dismissing Hunter Biden’s story.
5) Rep. @Jim_Jordan sent Ms. Bakos multiple letters requesting answers regarding her involvement with signing the laptop letter drafted by Mike Morrell.

Through the publications, Lindsay clarified that she could not confirm when Bakos started and finished working for Twitter. However, the journalist highlights that the social network's history shows that the former agent had a critical view of Donald Trump, “which raises ethical questions of whether actions regarding the laptop or moderating content at Twitter were politically motivated.”
“Did she play a role in Twitter’s decision to censor the NYPost story? What led to her getting a job moderating policy/content at Twitter? Why did she try to hide her job/role at Twitter from the public?” the journalist questioned, stressing that the former agent should be held accountable.
8) Interestingly, in June 2017 Bakos wrote an OpEd in which she offered a critical view of Trump’s tweets. Now knowing Bakos had an powerful role on Policy/content moderation at Twitter makes this article more relevant knowing he was eventually suspended.https://t.co/fpMNRaA1kz pic.twitter.com/xsDeIMcylQ
