Six black teenagers beat up a 15-year-old white teenager on a basketball court in Haverford Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and stole some of his belongings.
NBC10 Philadelphia released the video of the assault, filmed by one of the attackers.
The events took place this Monday. The victim came to the court to play basketball for a while when, for no apparent reason, six black men came after him and began kicking and punching him after knocking him to the ground. After managing to escape from the assailants, he fled, calling for help.
Authorities confirmed the savage attack the teenager received and how he was able to flee the situation. "They're punching, kicking and punching this kid while he's lying on the ground. He apparently ran to a neighbor's house banging on the door asking for help," said Deputy Chief Joseph Hagan of the Haverford Township Police Department.
One of the assailants was arrested and at least one other was identified. "We have been able to identify two so far and are confident of identifying the other four," Hagan said. The police have requested the collaboration of citizens to find the rest of the attackers.
