According to several national entertainment media outlets, the Kardashian's have several rules that aspiring nannies must follow if they want to get the job. The Sun reported that in order to make it easier for the hopefuls to remember these rules, the clan gives them an instruction manual during their first day on the job. The salary is well worth it. According to Radar Online, in 2018 the three nannies working for Kim were paid $100,000 a year.
Always a step behind the Kardashians
The Kardashian-Jenner clan is known to be quite appreciative of their personal space. In fact, according to the newspaper Marca, the nannies must always stay several steps behind the Kardashians. Rumors picked up by Cosmopolitan claim that Kim choreographs each of their movements to make sure that they are the right distance away. She even goes as far as to decide how they must walk down the street with the Kardashian family: behind her and in a 'V' formation.
Must not be attractive
Radar Online claimed in 2018 that Kim Kardashian refused to hire nannies who were attractive. Kim's intention with this rule, according to the media, is to prevent her romantic partners from being "distracted" by the woman in charge of caring for their children.
Fashion knowledge
Although unattractive, the nanny must have fashion knowledge. According to several national media outlets, their knowledge of fashion should go beyond their personal fashion choices. This comes in handy when it comes to dressing the children, since they are the ones in charge of putting together the little ones' outfits. It’s a plus if they buy products from the Kardashian’s fashion and beauty lines.
That said, Kim forbids all nannies from wearing jewelry during their workday. She has done so as a security measure ever since the influencer was robbed at her Paris home in 2016.
