Although the meeting was private, the video shows the pope asking them how their day was while exchanging gifts with Clinton. Vatican News revealed that the meeting was to discuss peace, but did not go into further detail.

The meeting was part of Soros' European tour. The day before, he visited Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama alongside Clinton.
