The Republican Party of Florida officially announced the names of the eight candidates who met the requirements to appear on the primary ballots on March 19, 2024. The surprise came with the inclusion of the Texan pastor and businessman Ryan Binkley in the shortlist in which none of the best-known candidates are missing.

Burgum and Hutchinson will be at the polls despite their absence in the last GOP debate
In addition to Binkley, and with Donald Trump as a big favorite, the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy and Chris Christie will also be on the ballots. Likewise, Doug Burgum and Asa Hutchinson, who were left out of the conservative party's last official debate because they did not meet the requirements, will participate in the event.
Although he is less known to the general public, Binkley has kept his campaign behind the backs of the mainstream media. His message focuses on reducing debt and combating inflation, health spending, with special attention to immigration.

The Florida primaries, after Super Tuesday
Voting in the Sunshine State will take place on March 19. The format is "winner takes all" and takes place after the primaries of other southern states such as Alabama, Georgia and Texas, and Super Tuesday.
According to the latest polls in Florida, Donald Trump would be the favorite - with a wide advantage - over his rivals, including the state's own governor, Ron DeSantis.
