Man who fired 17 shots at Laura Pausini concert in Paris arrested

French authorities arrested a man who fired 17 shots at a glass door of the venue where a concert by the Italian artist Laura Pausini was being held.

The incident took place on Monday at the Accor Arena, located near the heart of Paris. The individual attempted to gain entry to the concert via VIP access, but was denied entry by the security services.

He subsequently drew a semi-automatic weapon and fired at a door until the facility's security personnel were able to subdue him. Multiple witnesses reported that the individual was also armed with a knife. There were no reported fatalities or injuries.
