Goodbye, Adam Schiff? House considers impeachment after Durham Report revelations

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna called to remove Schiff, claiming he took advantage of his position on the Intelligence Committee to investigate Trump despite knowing the alleged Russian collusion was false.

Adam Schiff 's long career in the House of Representatives could end sooner than expected. Not because the Democrat politician, in his twelfth term, so desires; but rather because his colleagues can get him off the trail: the House has in its hands a resolution to impeach him.

"It's a disgrace to the House of Representatives," asserted Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna, sponsor of the resolution. "The Durham Report makes it clear that collusion with Russia was a lie from day one and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country," Luna justified the proposal in a statement released Wednesday.

(Schiff) Used his position on the House Intelligence Committee to push a lie that cost U.S. taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as chairman.

Schiff's role

Adam Schiff was the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee during the investigation into alleged Trump-Russia ties disproved by special prosecutor John Durham's report.

In addition to pushing for an investigation into these facts, Schiff asserted numerous times that there was evidence of alleged collusion to favor the former Republican president in the 2016 campaign. Trump, Fox and WSJ continue to lie about what Mueller found. That is your choice. But the evidence shows that the Trump campaign invited Russian help, made full use of it, and covered it up.

The California politician referred to the report during an interview last Tuesday. He accused Durham of irregularities, and even claimed that his investigation began, was conducted and concluded in a fraudulent manner. He even went so far as to say that it was "four years of wasted effort".

He also insisted that the Russians interfered in the election to favor Trump and claimed that Hillary Clinton bore the brunt of the FBI investigations. According to the Democratic representative, the inquiry into Clinton's emails was discussed in public, while the inquiry into the Republican was confidential.

The Durham investigation was flawed from the beginning. It started with a political purpose: to satisfy Trump. It resulted in two spectacular failures at trial. And he ended up with nothing to show for four years of effort. Bottom line: The FBI had a good reason to investigate - Durham did not.
