President Donald Trump announced a new round of trade negotiations with China. The meeting will take place in London, United Kingdom next Monday.

Attending on behalf of the United States will be Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.

"The meeting should go very well," Trump maintained in a post on Truth Social, through which he made the announcement.

Just a day earlier, Trump had spoken on the phone with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, in a conversation he described as "very positive for both countries."
