The IDF exposes Hamas: These are the images of the underground city that the terrorists have in Gaza
The IDF spokesman reported that weapons and belongings of kidnapped people were found inside the tunnels.
This Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared shocking video evidence of the existence of terrorist tunnels under the Shifa hospital complex in Gaza City.
Israeli soldiers recently opened a reinforced door and discovered an underground system behind it. The system used the hospital's infrastructure for water and electricity, and one of the underground rooms was even connected to the health center's air conditioning system.
IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari explained that the soldiers recently encountered large amounts of sand recently placed by Hamas to make access to other parts of the tunnel system difficult, suggesting a prior evacuation in the face of the imminent entry of Israeli forces into the Shifa hospital.
Hagari also reported that weapons and belongings of kidnapped people were found, serving as evidence that Hamas uses hospitals as operations and weapons storage centers.
"The findings prove unequivocally the modus operandi of the Hamas terrorist organization (...) Hamas builds underground compounds under the hospitals while exploiting the hospital's infrastructure, and conducts fighting from them. It stores large quantities of weapons at various locations in the hospital buildings and uses the hospital area and its surroundings as a terrorist headquarters," he said.
It should be noted that Israel has already warned on several occasions that Hamas has its main headquarters under Shifa Hospital and even shared a video several weeks ago illustrating what the tunnels and rooms located just below the health center would look like.
The IDF has also reported that Hamas is located under mosques and residences to camouflage its terrorist activities and prevent attacks by Israel.
A war crime
Israel has already explained that these underground tunnels, located under strategic points, function as shields for Hamas' terrorist infrastructure and put the lives of civilians at risk, which is a war crime under international law.
