Milito's Chivas earn dramatic draw against Abreu's Tijuana in Mexican Apertura

Argentine coach Gabriel Milito's Guadalajara rallied from a three-goal deficit to draw 3-3 with Uruguayan coach Sebastian Abreu's Tijuana on Friday at the Caliente stadium for the sixth date of the Apertura 2025 Mexican soccer tournament.

Gilberto Mora scored the 1-0 for the Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles in the 5th minute with a cross shot into the box.

Tijuana wasted the opportunity for a second goal before halftime. At 45+5, Ecuador's Adonis Preciado missed a penalty kick that was saved by the goalkeeper.

Cameroon striker Frank Boya made it 2-0 with a touch inside the six-yard box, at 51.

Mora increased the lead to 3-0 when he finished off a ball that had hit the post. The goal was validated in the 68th minute after a VAR review. El Loco Abreu erupted in jubilation on the bench and distributed hugs among his players.

Armando González made it 3-1 for Chivas Guadalajara when he received a pass in the box and scored with a left-footed shot from the edge of the area, in the 74th minute.

Ten minutes later, Efraín Álvarez made it 3-2 when he took a left-footed free kick 30 meters from the goal and placed the ball in the upper right corner.

At 90+6, Roberto Alvarado slipped into the Tijuana box down the right corridor and made it 3-3 with a well-placed touch to the far post.

With this tie, Tijuana reached nine points and Guadalajara four points.

At La Corregidora stadium, Querétaro's Gallos Blancos defeated Atlético San Luis 3-2 in a duel of alternating scores.

At the 10th minute, Brazilian striker Joao Geraldino Galvao made it 1-0 for Atlético San Luis after defining a play inside the box.

Alí Ávila made it 1-1 for the Gallos Blancos del Querétaro with a touch inside the six-yard box at the 23rd minute.

The Gallos turned the score around with a 2-1 goal scored by Juan Robles in the 50th minute after finishing a counterattack with a shot inside the box.

Galvao made it 2-2 with a penalty kick in the 73rd minute.

Querétaro took the 3-2 win with a penalty kick taken by Uruguayan midfielder Santiago Homenchenko at 90+8.

With this result, Querétaro reached four points and are left at the bottom of the standings. Atlético San Luis remained with six points.

At the Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez, the Bravos de Juárez came from behind to beat the Guerreros del Santos 2-1.

The Guerreros took the lead in the 11th minute when Colombian Cristian Dájome drove the ball in the final third of the field, entered the box and made it 1-0 with a touch in front of the goalkeeper.

The Bravos equalized 1-1 in the 89th minute when Ángel Zaldívar appeared on the edge of the six-yard box to connect with a header.

In this way, the Bravos reached eight points and the Guerreros remained with six points.
