(AFP) The New York Mets cruised to a 7-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday at Citi Field in New York. Dominican Juan Soto hit two home runs, raising his season total to 19.

Soto, 26, and the Mets’ top star heading into the 2025 season, aimed for center field on both of his home runs.

It’s the fourth two-homer game this season for the native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Puerto Rican Edwin Díaz came in to record the final out and secured his 16th save of the season.

With today’s win, the Mets improved to 47-34, holding second place in the National League East.
