Celtics silence Warriors; Mavericks in jeopardy
The defending champions swept their opponent at the Chase Center in San Francisco. The Cavaliers beat the Suns and keep on winning.

Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics
In a standout display during a period of inconsistency, the Boston Celtics silenced San Francisco's Chase Center in San Francisco (California) with a dominant (125-85) victory over the Golden State Warriors. A victory achieved thanks to a great choral performance by the reigning NBA champions.
From the start of the game, the Celtics showed that they would not be messing around and would go on to dominate their rival, without mercy.
At the end of the first half, the green-and-white franchise already commanded the scoreboard with a +15 point lead, which they extended in a third quarter to +34 thanks to a colossal offensive performance. In the last twelve minutes, the Celtics sealed the victory.
Four of the five players in Boston's starting five - and two substitutes - scored more than 10 points, with Jayson Tatum scoring 22, Kristaps Porzingis 18 and Jaylen Brown 17.
If anything should be highlighted from the Warriors' performance, it's the 18 points from Stephen Curry.
Mavericks need Doncic
The reigning NBA runners-up are still not getting their heads up. This time, the Dallas Mavericks fell to the Charlotte Hornets (110-105) at the Spectrum Center. A defeat that moves them away from the playoff positions.
The Texas franchise is feeling the significant impact of Luka Doncic's absence, as the Mavericks have suffered nine losses since his injury.
The performances of Miles Bridges and LaMelo Ball -with 23 points each- and the double-double of Mark Williams (13 points and 13 rebounds) neutralized the 64 points signed between Daniel Gafford and Kyrie Irving.
The rest of the day's action included wins for the New York Knicks against the Atlanta Hawks and the Detroit Pistons at the home of the Houston Rockets, second-place team in the Western Conference. Elsewhere, the Cleveland Cavaliers continue to add wins and the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Minnesota Timberwolves.
