The United States defeated Mexico 3-0 in the CONCACAF Nations League semifinal at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and will face Canada in the final round of the tournament. Two goals from Christian Pulisic and one from Ricardo Pepi gave the USMNT the victory.

The game was dominated by the U.S. The national team showed no mercy, completely controlling the field throughout the 90 minutes. Mexico made many defensive errors, which ultimately cost them the three goals. "El Tri" coach Diego Cocca still has a lot of work to do to restore fans' hopes.

Christian Pulisic (1-0) gave the U.S. the lead in the 37th minute after taking advantage of mistakes by several opposing defenders.

Right at the start of the second half, Pulisic (2-0) scored his second goal after finishing off a cross from the right wing.

Ricardo Pepi (3-0) scored the final goal. The American forward took advantage of a great play by teammate Sergiño Dest and some Mexican defensive lapses to score the third and final goal of the game in the 79th minute.

Beyond the goals and U.S. dominance, the game was marked by ejections. Four players (Dest and McKennie for the USMNT, and Montes and Arteaga on the Mexican side) received red cards. There was also a scuffle between the two sides after Montes aggressively kicked Folarin Balogun.

Canada defeats Panama 2-0

In the other semifinal, Canada clearly outplayed Panama and won 2-0 with goals from striker Jonathan David and defender Anthony Davies. From the very first moment, the Canadian team showed its superiority and grabbed control of the game.

The final between the USMNT and the Canadian team will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this Sunday.
