Cyberattack delays prescription orders from pharmacies across the country

Pharmacies across the country experienced delays in prescription orders after the company that handles the ordering and delivery, Change Healthcare, suffered a cyberattack.
Through a statement collected by Fox Business, the company reported the attack, saying it began to detect it this Wednesday:
Change Healthcare is experiencing a network interruption related to a cyber security issue and our experts are working to address the matter. Once we became aware of the outside threat, in the interest of protecting our partners and patients, we took immediate action to disconnect our systems to prevent further impact. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
As soon as Change Healthcare realized the problem, it decided to disconnect its systems to avoid further consequences. The company has launched an investigation to identify the origin of the cyberattack.
