These are the ten most unsafe cities in the United States during the Christmas season
The study analyzed a total of 182 American cities.
A new study from Vivint, a smart home security company, revealed which U.S. cities are the most unsafe during the holidays.
According to the analysis, researchers collected and studied “property crime data, Google search trends and other security factors” to rank the 50 largest cities in the country with the highest crime risk.
After an exhaustive analysis, Vivint made a list of the 10 most unsafe cities:

According to Vivint, researchers analyzed several factors to determine the list, including data from the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS), searches on Google Trends related to vacation safety, registered neighborhood watch groups, statistics from the National Crime Insurance Bureau and other data relevant to the investigation.
“Among the 182 U.S. cities we analyzed, St. Louis, MO; Salt Lake City, UT; and Denver, CO, topped the list of the riskiest cities for crime during the holiday season. Focusing on the specific risk factors contributing to these rankings shows that different cities present unique security challenges,” stated the Vivint report.
