Most Americans (two out of three) don't want trans people to participate in women's sports. This was shown in a poll conducted by Noble Predictive Insight and published by The Center Square, which consulted 2,500 registered voters.

The study revealed that 60% of women surveyed were opposed to men being in women's sports. 75% of the men who participated in the poll share this opinion.

In the case of Republicans, 89% of respondents said they did not agree men should be allowed to compete in women's sports. Around 45% of Democrats also opposed trans people competing in women's sports compared to 36% who were supportive.

"This is a huge opportunity for Republicans"

"The group driving that support are very left-leaning Democrats. It is pushed by Democrats on the left. Biden's administration has really embraced it," explained Mike Noble, founder and CEO of Noble Predictive Insights, which conducted the survey.

Noble said the issue was an opportunity for Republicans to connect with independent voters and moderate Democrats. "This is a huge opportunity for Republicans this election to use it as wedge issue. They don't have a lot of wedge issues. This is a good issue for Republicans," Noble said.
