John Gosling, keyboardist of The Kinks, dies at the age of 75. The information was confirmed by the British rock band, which paid tribute to him on Instagram with a video.

Details about the cause of his death were not given. "Today we lost a dear friend and colleague, he was a great musician and had a fantastic sense of humour... which made him a popular member of the band, he leaves us with some happy memories," said Mick Avory, drummer of The Kinks.

Ray Davies, founder of The Kinks, also wrote a message to say goodbye to Gosling and sent his condolences to the family. "Condolences to his wife Theresa and family. Rest in Peace dearest John," Davies commented.

Dave Davies, guitarist of the group, expressed that Gosling was an important contributor to the music of The Kinks. "I’m dismayed and deeply upset by John Gosling’s passing. He has been a friend and important contributor to the Kinks music during his time with us," wrote Dave Davies.
