A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a doctor and abortion activist on the charge of assault with a dangerous weapon against a pro-life protester. The man has been accused of attacking citizens who defend the right to life on multiple occasions.

On June 23, pro-life protester Mark A. Zimmerman explained that he was with other protesters in the parking lot of the Saginaw and Flint Abortion Center and was hit by the doctor. Zimmerman suffered a fractured left tibia. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Saginaw Township Police responded to the scene but did not arrest the physician. "Then he parked his car, calmly got out, and went inside to do his abortions. He didn’t check on Mark or anything like that," explained Zimmerman's attorney, Robert J. Dunn.

Although MLive claimed that it would not give the name of the doctor until he is charged, the non-profit organization Live Action stated that it was Theodore Roummel. In 2012, the man faced an assault charge in Wayne County District Court after he attacked Lynn Mills, director of Pro-Life Michigan. The activist said that the doctor ran over her twice and then he tried to hit her with the door.

Fined and license restricted

In 2014, abortionist Theodore Roumell was performing abortions at the women's health clinic, even though the facility was not in compliance with Michigan state regulations. As a result, Roumell was fined and had his license restricted.
