More than 80 injured after two buses collide in New York City
The crash between a transit bus and a double-decker tour occurred in Manhattan between 1st Avenue and 23rd Street.
A public transit bus and a double-decker tour bus collided in New York City at 7 p.m. last Thursday.
Although 40 passengers were initially reported injured, as the afternoon progressed the count more than doubled. Sixty three of them were evaluated by medical teams at the scene, while 18 had to be transported to nearby hospitals, this was according to New York Fire Department reports. None of them had serious injuries.
The collision occurred at 1st Avenue and 23rd Street in Manhattan.
FDNY units are currently operating on a bus collision at 23rd Street and 1st Avenue in Manhattan. There are currently approximately 40 civilian casualties.
