Hawaii: Kilauea volcano erupts
It occurred around 4:44 am local time, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The Kilauea volcano erupted. The Hawaii Volcano Observatory (HVO), part of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), reported that the eruption took place around 4:44 am Hawaii local time (HST), when movement and a glow were detected inside the Halemaʻumaʻu crater.
According to the latest update, a "red warning" was issued. The eruption has generated lava rivers on the surface of the crater. In the following video, you can watch live footage of the eruption.
