Texas Governor Greg Abbott claimed that the Biden Administration is "pulling Border Patrol agents back from the line" in the midst of the immigration crisis following the end of Title 42 enforcement.
On his Twitter account, the Republican blamed Washington for creating a "vacuum at the U.S.-Mexico border."
Abbott assured that his state is "stepping up" to deal with the flood of immigrants crowded at the border and thanked state forces working "night and day and night to hold the line."
More than 373,000 illegal aliens detained in Texas
The governor noted that"Operation Lone Star continues to fill the dangerous gaps left by the Biden Administration's refusal to secure the border."
Operation Lone Star is a law enforcement corps created by Abbott to secure the border and stop the smuggling of drugs, weapons and people into the state. Since its inception , it has detained more than 373,000 illegal aliens and made more than 28,000 arrests of criminals.
With the end of Title 42, Abbott directly blamed President Joe Biden for "welcoming people from all over the world" with his misguided border policy.
