On Saturday, February 25, the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC), accused the White House of offering an opaque view of the immigration crisis. It did so through a series of tweets in which the organization wanted to thank the "few outstanding reporters" who report, with real facts, what happens on the U.S.-Mexico border. An effort that, they pointed out, is greatly appreciated but wholly inadequate for the population to really know and understand, first hand, the problem that exists on the border:

The country's largest Border Patrol union, made up of some 18,000 agents, also claimed that attempts were being made to silence journalists who dared to speak out about what was happening at the border in order to prevent the truth from becoming known:

National Border Patrol Council says the crisis is a "certified disaster"

Following this, the NBPC urged Congress to remove Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas from office, and claimed that the immigration crisis is a "certified disaster" under Mayorkas and President Biden's stewardship. They did so by arguing their point with supporting data in which they asserted that illegal immigration had returned to a growth stage, despite what the Biden Administration would have you believe:

Meanwhile, the Biden Administration and Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, continue to claim that the southern border is under control, thus denying a crisis that worries many citizens nationwide.
