Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, warned in a statement to the press that the state will experience an unsustainable flow of illegal immigrants once the Biden Administration reverses Title 42, the border policy implemented during the pandemic under former President Donald Trump that allows law enforcement to quickly remove illegals "to prevent the spread of disease."

The fact is that what we have right now is not working and is about to break in a post-42 world unless we take some responsibility and ownership.

Criticism of the Biden Administration

The governor also criticized the current administration's decision to send "planes and buses to California full of immigrants because of all the good work the state is doing for that community." ABCNews10 reported:

I'm saying that as a father (...) I'm saying that as someone who feels responsible for being part of the solution and I am trying to do my best here.

Newsom's dissatisfaction with Biden's immigration measures is nothing new. The governor is known for condemning the actions of the Texas and Florida governors for transporting busloads of illegal immigrants and sending them to Democrat-led places like Martha's Vineyard, Washington D.C., New York or Chicago. The president added that he did not want to "point the finger" at anyone.

The Washington Free Beacon asked spokespersons for Newsom and the Department of Homeland Security how many immigrants the federal government has sent to California this year. They did not respond.
