Political analyst Art Estopiñán warned that a Democratic victory in both chambers of Congress could create obstacles for President Donald Trump's agenda, especially in the areas of foreign policy and national security.

During an interview on Voz News, Estopiñán maintained that one of the Democrats' first moves would be to try to block funding for military intervention in Iran.

"The Democrats have publicly stated that if they win a majority in both chambers, they would try to stop President Trump's agenda," Estopiñán said during a conversation with the Voz News executive director, Karina Yapor.

"They will try to block the funding needed to bring an end to military intervention by the U.S. Armed Forces," he added.

Regarding the possibility of launching a new impeachment effort against Trump, Estopiñán believes that Democrats could start with members of the cabinet.

As he explained, among the officials who would be in the crosshairs is Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. In his view, the Democrats would seek to curb the policy of projecting U.S. military power promoted by the current administration.

Regarding Venezuela, Cuba and the fight against drug cartels, Estopiñán stated that Democrats could attempt to hinder Washington's operations against those groups and regimes in the region. However, he maintained that Trump would retain constitutional powers to act on grounds of national security.
