Democratic Justice: Harris claims Trump will go after his rivals if he wins and Biden sees him in jail
While the Blue Party candidate again calls Trump a "dictator," Biden casts doubt on rulings favorable to the Republican hopeful: "I want to see that sentence."
The partisan use of Justice that has characterized the Biden-Harris Administration promises to continue until the last second before the November presidential election - and probably beyond - and, of course, it couldn't be left behind while on the campaign trail. On the same day, Kamala Harris assured that Donald Trump would do the same thing they have been doing to their rivals for the last four years if he comes to power while Joe Biden pointed out that Trump is competing for the presidency to dodge jail.
Biden made these statements at a campaign event in Pennsylvania, one of the most decisive states for the final outcome of the election. While Harris doesn't quite take off among Keystone State voters, the president enjoys greater popularity. In fact, he's the one who won it back for the Democratic cause in 2020 after Hillary Clinton's 2016 loss to Trump, the Blue Party's only one in the 21st century.
"I think he [Trump] is running to stay out of jail"
Before his supporters, Biden charged the former president, listing the list of convictions, charges and indictments Trump faces before various courts pushed by progressive prosecutors with the blessing of the White House.
"And folks, look. This is the same guy who’s been held liable for $83 million for sexual abuse and defamation, the same guy for getting rid of Roe V. Wade, the same guy with three other major cases waiting for him when he loses. And by the way, 34 felonies, and so far — he had to get sentenced. He got the sentence kick back, but I want to watch that sentence. Look, Donald Trump is not running for you. He’s running for himself. I think he’s running to stay out of jail."
Harris assured that Trump will do the same thing they've been doing for four years to their rivals
Earlier, Harris had stopped by the studios of The Breakfast Club, with Charlamagne tha God. During the conversation, the vice president warned that Trump "would weaponize the Department of Justice against his political enemies."
"Donald Trump has been very clear that he would weaponize the Department of Justice against his political enemies. He has been very clear that he would take out the independent folks who are in there and put in there instead his loyalists. So understand, again, you talk about — because this brings back to exactly your point about threats to the to our democracy. Donald Trump would go into the Department of Justice and manipulate it in such a way that it would be used as a weapon against his political enemies."
Harris added that he would not just "lock up" politicians, but "Journalists, judges, others.... and you know who does it? Dictators do it. Other countries do it."
