President Biden says the key to a successful marriage is having "good sex"
This was just one of several uncomfortable moments featured by the president when talking about private matters.
A new book reveals several awkward moments involving Joe Biden discussing his sexuality, including when he tells members of the White House staff that the key to a successful marriage is “good sex.”
The book titled “American Woman: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden” by New York Times writer Katie Rogers recounts several instances in which Biden has spoken openly about his relationship with his wife, Jill Biden, often providing more information than expected.
Fragments of the text collected by the Daily Mail reveal that Biden sometimes shares with White House staff his opinions on the importance of “good sex” for a happy marriage, “much to his wife’s chagrin.”
The book, which will be released on Tuesday, also recalls when, in 2006, the then-Senator Biden was asked about his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for the presidential elections and responded, “I’d rather be at home making love to my wife while my children are asleep.”
Likewise, he remembers older moments, such as when, in an interview in 1974, Biden spoke “about the sexual and emotional connection he and [first wife] Neilia shared.”
Rogers highlights that Biden has moderated “his public bedroom declarations” since winning the 2020 election. However, occasionally, it continues to cause discomfort among his employees.
