Donald Trump is not too happy about the 37 charges the Department of Justice (DOJ) has brought against him concerning classified documents found in his Florida residence. The former president described the charges as “ridiculous” and “baseless” and assured that he will not abandon his third presidential campaign if he is eventually convicted. In turn, he promises revenge if he returns to the White House in January 2025.

Trump landed Monday in Miami, where he must appear before a federal court for an arraignment scheduled for Tuesday, June 13. Miami-Dade County is working on security measures to avoid any upsets during the day. “We are ready and prepared,” said Manny Morales, the city’s chief of police.

“We honestly believe in the Constitution. We believe that people should have the right to express themselves. But we also believe in law and order, and we hope that tomorrow will be a peaceful day. We encourage people to be peaceful to show how they feel and we will have the necessary forces to ensure that,” added Mayor Francis Suarez (R), who is also flirting with entering the Republican primary for president.

“The most corrupt president in the history of the United States”

Less than 24 hours before returning to court, the former president wrote on Truth Social and took aim at President Joe Biden and his family. “Now that the ‘seal’ is broken, in addition to closing the border & removing all of the ‘criminal’ elements that have illegally invaded our country, making America energy independent & even dominant again, & immediately ending the war between Russia & Ukraine, I will appoint a real special ‘prosecutor’ to go after the most corrupt president in the history of the USA, Joe Biden, the entire Biden crime family, & all others involved with the destruction of our elections, borders, & country itself,” he commented.

Trump’s judicial burden could become even heavier in the coming months, given other ongoing investigations that could lead to additional indictments. These include the January 6 case in Fulton County, Georgia, and the defamation case brought by journalist E. Jean Carroll.
