Jan. 6 political theatre: video shows police leading QAnon Shaman through Capitol Hill
Tucker Carlson exclusively revealed the images that the Committee had hidden. Donald Trump calls for the release of the detainees.
On Monday night, Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson aired footage of the January 6, 2021 riot on Capitol Hill that contradicts the version defended for two years by the Biden Administration and establishment media.
The images obtained by Tucker Carlson Tonight show that the Capitol Police did not try to stop Jacob Anthony Angeli Chansley (known as QAnon Shaman), one of the leading protesters of that day, from reaching the Senate floor. On the contrary, the new videos show how the police escorted and guided him to the Chamber.
The images show Jacob Chansley, uncuffed and completely free, walking through the halls of the Capitol with two members of law enforcement by his side. At some point, the officers even opened the door and gave him access to the rooms until he reached the chamber, where he became one of the most recognizable faces of the January 6 riot. Chansley was sentenced to nearly four years in prison for his role in the incident. Tucker Carlson analyzed the images by saying:
Carlson also wondered why the officers did nothing to stop Chansley:
A few days ago, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy gave Carlson exclusive access to more than 40,000 hours of security footage related to the January 6, 2021 riots. The establishment media harshly criticized McCarthy's decision. The release of these images has troubled mainstream media, which is perfectly understandable. Their take on what really happened on Capitol Hill has been completely dismantled.
Let us not forget that many people in Washington in the media have compared what happened on January 6 to the September 11 attacks or Pearl Harbor. There are still many hours of footage to be released.
Footage shows agent Brian Sicknick walking around alive
A portion of the Capitol footage calls into question the version of the timing and cause of death of police officer Brian Sicknick. Carlson showed footage revealing that Sicknick was alive after the assailants had allegedly killed him. These images were seen by members of the January 6 Committee, who refused to release them to the public.
In 2021, the Washington coroner's office concluded that Officer Sicnick's death was due to natural causes, a conclusion accepted by the U.S. Capitol Police.
Donald Trump calls for the protesters to be released
Former President Donald Trump celebrated these new images in a post on Truth Social, calling the news one of the biggest "scoops" in U.S. history.
The former president also congratulated Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy for releasing the images to Tucker Carlson. He declared that "Pelosi & McConnell failed on security" and called for the protesters who were arrested after the January 6 incident to be released: LET THEM GO FREE, NOW!"
