The qualifiers will be played over two games. Favorable draws for Real Madrid, for FC Barcelona and for the current champions, Manchester City.

The matches for the round of 16 of the Champions League have already been completed. UEFA held the draw at its official headquarters located in the city of Nyon (Switzerland), with the 16 teams that managed to qualify through the group stages. The qualifiers will be played over two legs: the first legs will be played on February 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2024, while the second legs will take place on March 5, 6, 12 and 13, 2024.

Spain is the country with the largest number of teams qualified for the round of 16 of the Champions League (Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid and Real Sociedad); followed by Italy (Inter Milan, Lazio and Napoli) and Germany (Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig) with three representatives each; and England with two (Manchester City and Arsenal). Portugal (FC Porto), Denmark (FC Copenhagen), Netherlands (PSV Eindhoven) and France (Paris Saint-Germain) have only one participant.

The current champions, Manchester City, will have to face the least strongest rival of all the teams, FC Copenhagen. On the other hand, Real Madrid will visit Germany to face RB Leipzig, and FC Barcelona will travel to southern Italy and beat Napoli to advance to the next round.

Atlético de Madrid and Inter Milan will play what is expected to be the most even tie, and Real Sociedad - which gave the surprise by advancing as first in the group - is the team that has had the least luck of the four Spaniards. They will face Kylian Mbappé's, Paris Saint-Germain.

PSV Eindhoven-Borussia Dortmund, Lazio-Bayern Munich and Porto-Arsenal complete the round of 16. The Champions League final will be played at Wembley Stadium (London, England) on June 1, 2024.
