Biden's lawyer moved and held classified documents in his office for several days

The National Archives has not yet reviewed the contents of the nine boxes that the lawyer delivered to them on November 8 of last year.

It has been revealed that between November 3 and 9 of last year, Joe Biden´s personal attorney, Patrick Moore, had in his possession at his law offices in Boston, nine boxes containing potentially classified federal documents which were removed from the Penn Biden Center in Washington D.C. The facts have come to light through the response given by the National Archives to questions from Republican senators Ron Johnson y Chuck Grassley. In the reply, the National Archives acknowledges that, although the papers came into its possession on November 8, it has still not yet reviewed all their contents.

National Archives asked Biden's personal advisor on Nov. 3.

On February 24, lawmakers asked the National Archives when they learned of the existence of the classified documents, when they were transferred to Moore's office, and when they came into his custody. In their response, dated March 7, the National Archives, after consulting with the Department of Justice, noted that when they called the personal advisor to the president to take charge of the classified material, on November 3 - one day after they were notified of the discovery of the papers, they were informed that Biden's lawyer had moved nine boxes to his offices in Boston.

DOJ to turn over classified documents after investigation

National Archives officials notified the Office of the Inspector General on November 4 of the transfer of the boxes to Boston. At the DOJ's request, the National Archives picked up the documents on November 9, and moved them to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston, as it was the closest appropriate place for such documents.

Questioned about whether the National Archives has found classified documents in the contents of the nine boxes, they acknowledged that as yet, they have not yet proceeded to examine the papers in their custody. According to the National Archives staff, the files from the Penn Biden Center in Washington are the only ones known to them and are in their possession. In addition, he reminded the DOJ that all classified material it has to be investigated, regardless of its provenance, must be turned over to the National Archives in accordance with the Presidential Records Act.
