Biden clan received $20 million from Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, report says

The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability revealed this, and according to their findings, the president and his family benefited financially in exchange for influence.

The Biden family received millions of dollars from overseas when Joe Biden was Vice President of the United States. According to James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, the Bidens and their business associates obtained more than $20 million from Russian, Kazakh and Ukrainian oligarchs in 2014 in exchange for influence.

In a memo released Wednesday, Comer revealed that Joe Biden dined with several of these oligarchs after the clan and its associates benefited financially:

During Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Hunter Biden sold him as ‘the brand’ to reap millions from oligarchs in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine. It appears no real services were provided other than access to the Biden network, including Joe Biden himself. And Hunter Biden seems to have delivered. This is made clear by meals at Café Milano where then-Vice President Joe Biden dined with oligarchs from around the world who had sent money to his son.

In addition, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee chairman asserted that  “Joe Biden knew of his son’s business dealings and allowed himself to be ‘the brand’ sold to enrich the Biden family while he was vice president of the United States.”

Millions of dollars from Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine...

The committee report reflects that Rosemont Seneca Thornton - a shell company associated with Hunter Biden and his business partner Devon Archer - received a $3.5 million payment from Russian billionaire Yelena Baturina in 2014. Of that amount, one million went to Archer, and the rest went into a partnership account.

That same year, Hunter Biden and Archer joined Burisma’s Board of Directors thanks to the intermediation of a Ukrainian oligarch. For their work, each of them received one million dollars a year. Also in 2014, a Kazakh billionaire named Kenes Rakishev transferred to Hunter Biden a payment of $142,300 for a high-end car, according to the memo.

...and China

In May, Comer reported on Hunter Biden’s direct income from China. The House Oversight and Accountability Committee chairman also provided evidence that Hunter Biden took advantage of his position to arrange meetings between his associates and his father Joe, who at the time was vice president of the United States.

Despite Joe Biden’s claim that his family never received money from China, a committee report asserted that Hunter Biden did. According to bank records, the Biden family received about $3 million from State Energy HK, a China-based company, in 2017.

Payments from Romania

In 2015, Hunter Biden closed several deals with a Romanian businessman, Gabriel Popoviciu, who was convicted of several financial crimes in his country years later. These deals involved Robinson Walker LLC, one of 15 limited liability companies that Hunter and his associates created during Joe Biden’s time as Vice President and which reportedly brought in more than $10 million.
