Law enforcement authorities have confirmed that a shooting occurred in downtown Atlanta on Wednesday. So far, one person was killed and four others were injured, according to the Atlanta Police Department.
Through its Twitter account, the police have released images of the suspect, who has been identified as Deion Patterson. He was finally arrested on Wednesday night. The incident occurred in the vicinity of a downtown hospital.
The suspect is in custody. A press conference will take place at 8:15p.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. at 1110 W. Peachtree Street Northwest in downtown Atlanta, in the vicinity of Northside Medical Midtown Hospital.
The injured were transported to Grady Health System. Hospital Director Dr. Robert Jansen confirmed that three of the injured are in critical condition.

Atlanta's authorities charged Deion Patterson with murder and four counts of aggravated assault. The assailant killed Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) employee Amy St. Pierre, 39, in the waiting room of Northside Medical Midtown Hospital.
The injured are four women between the ages of 25 and 71. Patterson is expected to testify Thursday.
