The counting of the final votes will determine the composition of the House of Representatives. It has turned into a tight race between the Democratic and Republican Parties. The GOP needs to secure six of the 19 seats that remain at stake in order to achieve the 218 necessary for a majority. The Democrats have secured 204 seats so far.
During Sunday, Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer confirmed her victory in Oregon's 5th District to hand conservatives their 212th seat.
Eleven seats remain up for grabs in California alone. Arizona and Colorado follow with two, while Alaska, Maine, Oregon and New York each have just one seat that has yet to be decided. At the time of this article's publication, the Republican Party is projected to win half of the seats in play. This is the situation according to states and districts:
Alaska-01
Democratic Congresswoman Mary Peltola is expected to retain her seat with 80.1% of the votes counted. She obtained 47.26% of the vote, far ahead of Republican rivals Sarah Palin (26.57%) and Nick Begich (24.19%).
Arizona-01
Democrat Jevin Hodge (50.39%) is currently edging out Republican David Schweikert (49.61) with 90% of the votes reported.
Arizona-06
As it stands, Republican Juan Ciscomani (50.22%) would win the seat with 90% of the vote counted.
California-03
Conservative candidate Kevin Kiley (52.96%) extends his lead over Democrat Kermit Jones with 52.5% of the vote counted.
California-06
Incumbent Democratic candidate Ami Bera (56.17%) would remain in the House with 52% of the votes counted.
California-09
Democratic Rep. Josh Harder holds the lead (56.27%) with 47.04% counted.
California-13
Conservative John Duarte (50.05%) leads a tight race with Democrat Adam Gray (49.95%) with 61.12% of the votes counted.
California-21
Democratic Representative Jim Costa would retain his seat (54.55%) with 75.23% of the votes counted.
California-22
Republican Rep. David Valadao, currently holds a slight advantage (52.55%) with 51.35% counted.
California-27
With almost 70% of the vote counted, Rep. Mike Garcia leads by a comfortable margin (55.40%).
California-41
As it stands, Ken Calvert (50.73%) would also remain in the House with 66% of the votes counted.
California-45
Michelle Steel (53.66%) is also on track to retain her seat with 70% counted.
California-47
Rep. Katie Porter (51.27%) is in the lead with 71.83% counted.
California-49
Democrat Mike Levin (52.35%) holds the advantage with 71.31% of the votes counted.
Colorado-03
With 98.95% of the votes counted, Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert (50.17%) holds a narrow lead over Democrat Adam Frisch (49.87%).
Colorado-08
In another race coming down to the wire, Democrat Yadira Caraveo (48.40%) leads Republican Barbara Kirkmeyer (47.67%) by nearly one point with 98.1% counted.
Maine-02
Democratic Rep. Jared Golden would keep his seat (48.25%) with 98.66% counted.
New York-22
Republican Brandon Williams holds the lead (50.75%) with 97% of the votes recorded.
Oregon-06
Democratic candidate Andrea Salinas is ahead (49.77%) with 80.7% of the vote counted.
