Jamin Pugh, known as Jay Briscoe in the wrestling world, was killed in a car accident. Briscoe, 38, was one of Ring of Honor' s (ROH) best-known and most beloved fighters. At the time, he was the reigning All Elite Wrestling (AEW) team champion, along with his brother Mark. A title he won on 13 occasions, in addition to becoming individual champion on two other occasions.
The death was reported by Tony Khan, the tycoon who bought the AEW a few months ago. Through a tweet, Khan noted Briscoe's 20+ year ROH career and announced that they will do "everything we can to provide for his family." Pugh leaves behind three young children.
Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today.
Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day. We'll do whatever we can to support his family.
