U.S. shot down UFO over Lake Huron on the Canadian border

The object was at an altitude of about 60,000 feet and once again it was fighter jets that shot it down.

The U.S. military shot down a flying object as it hovered over Lake Huron in Michigan, becoming the fourth unidentified craft to fly over U.S. territory since Feb. 4 and the third in three days.

Michigan Republican Representative Jack Bergman recounted that fighter pilots were once again tasked with shooting down another object flying over the United States. In this case, the aircraft was octagonal in shape.

"I’ve been in contact with DOD regarding operations across the Great Lakes region today. The U.S. military has decommissioned another ‘object’ over Lake Huron. I appreciate the decisive action by our fighter pilots," Bergman said via Twitter.

According to the legislator, the object was at an altitude of 60,000 feet. Authorities in both the United States and Canada made the decision to restrict the airspace in the area so that fighter planes could intercept it and try to identify it.

It has not yet been determined whether China is responsible for the recent downed flying objects, but a Department of Homeland Security spokesman recently told the British broadcaster BBC that the Chinese balloon that was shot down on Feb. 4 was much larger than the objects detected later.

"These objects did not closely resemble and were much smaller than the [suspected Chinese spy] balloon and we will not definitively characterize them until we can recover the debris, which we are working on," he said.

According to some U.S. media reports, the reason that more flying objects are being found over U.S. terrain is that U.S. radars have been readjusted since the Chinese spy balloon was located.
