The soldier who crossed the border between the two Koreas landed at a military base in Texas around 1:30 a.m. ET.

Travis King is back in the United States. The American soldier who crossed the border that separates the two Koreas landed at Kelly Field, part of a joint military base located in San Antonio (Texas).

Around 1:30 a.m. ET, Travis King got off the military plane accompanied by several members of the Department of Defense (DOD) and the United States Army. CNN cameras captured the moment when the soldier walked through the air base after landing.

Two officials told CNN that the soldier will be transferred to Brooke Army Medical Center located in San Antonio to undergo various medical tests and an adaptation program.

Travis King arrived in the United States a few hours after North Korea deported him from the country. The North Korean regime made the decision after finishing its interrogation.

It is unknown whether the two governments reached an agreement to release King or if the soldier will be penalized in some way.
