Rachel Zegler, star of the new Snow White: "I deserve to be paid for every hour that it is streamed"

The actress made the comments in support of the Hollywood's actors’ strike. It generated controversy in social media.

The star of the new “Snow White,” Rachel Zegler, generated controversy on social media after asking to be paid for each hour the film is streamed. The actress made the comments in support of the Hollywood strike.

"If I’m going to stand there 18 hours in a dress of an iconic Disney princess, I deserve to be paid for every hour that it is streamed online," Zegler said during a conversation with Entertainment Tonight (ET).

This is not the first time the actress has been involved in a scandal. Since the announcement of the live-action “Snow White,” several comments and decisions by those involved with the film have raised controversy online. The most recent was when some images from film were released, where it could be seen that the famous seven dwarfs would not be in the movie.

The images show Snow White, played by Zegler, accompanied by seven "friends" who could well be the equivalent of the famous seven dwarfs. In this case, the dwarfs were replaced by seven new characters with only one little person. The rest represented different ethnic groups and cultures. Disney's new live-action film is scheduled for release on March 22, 2024.
