Prime Video releases first trailer for 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' series

The streaming platform will premiere the series starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine on February 2, 2024.

Prime Video released the first trailer of the series "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." The streaming platform gives fans a glimpse into the series that will star Donald Glover and Maya Erskine. The series is an adapted version of a movie starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt from 2005.

The series will have eight episodes in its first season and will premiere in more than 240 countries on February 2, 2024. The series, created by Donald Glover and Francesca Sloane, will feature two lonely strangers, played by Donald Glover and Maya Erskine. Prime Video announced in a press release that the two main characters get a job working for a mysterious spy agency. They are given an offer they can't refuse: a life of espionage, wealth, all-expense paid trips around the world and a free house in Manhattan.

However, accepting the job comes at a price: they must abandon their current identities and become Mr. John Smith and Mrs. Jane Smith, a married couple who must carry out their missions while trying to fake a marriage and celebrate different milestones of their pretend relationship.

The series was announced three years ago. It will also feature Alexander Skarsgârd, Eliza González, Sarah Paulson, Sharon Horgan, Ron Perlman, Billy Campbell, Úrsula Corberó, Paul Dano, Michaela Coel, John Turturro, Parker Posey and Wagner Moura.
